Much like was mentioned in our Business Analyst discussion, the definition of, tasks of, and role of a data analyst can depend on the company and and/or the needs of the project. Sometimes, the role of data analyst is used synonymously with business analyst, business intelligence analyst, or data engineer. The tasks and role descriptions we've mentioned are not exhaustive or fixed but are in line with the broad concept of the data analyst role.
